  • Big Kahuna Burger brings together surf, sea, sand and seriously good burgers. With a name that naturally evokes retro beach culture, the brief was to create a playful identity inspired by the laid-back energy and bold visual style of the 1970s.

  • The creative direction combines hand-drawn illustration with inflated, expressive letterforms that appear to ooze over the edges of a burger patty. A sun-soaked retro colour palette carries the nostalgic surf aesthetic across the wider visual language, giving the brand plenty of warmth, energy and personality.

  • The resulting identity is bold, memorable and unapologetically fun. From its tactile brand mark to its vibrant supporting elements, Big Kahuna Burger serves up a cohesive visual system with plenty of flavour, a mouthful of typographical deliciousness.
